Clothing and Book Sale

The Parish is appreciative of the support of the Clothing and Book Sale held on 13th April and of the help offered to make the sale a success. Sale of clothes raised $1,416.00, Books $170.00 and Merilyn’s Stall $200.00, for a total of $1,786.00. The leftover clothing was donated to the homeless, the Palliative Care shop and the Tweed Refuge.

Friendship Lunch (for those who live on their own)

With the approach of cooler weather the Friendship Dinners have changed to a midday meal for the months from April to August. The first lunch will be on Tuesday 23rd April at 12.30pm at the Murwillumbah Golf Club.

Faithfulness in Service Training

This training is required for all clergy and church workers every three years. The next training course will be held at St Cuthbert’s Church, Tweed Heads on 18 May 2024. For those needing to renew their training contact should be made with the Tweed Heads Parish Office or The Reverend Dway at priest@stcuthbertschurch.com.au

Reading Skills

The SRE teacher in Murwillumbah High School has received a request from one of the School’s teachers for church people to offer some of their time to help young struggling people improve their reading skills. Should anyone be prepared to participate in this activity please contact David Miller (07 5590 4218) who will pass on your details to the appropriate person.

Please note that the Parish has been notified of scams that have been received recently in multiple parishes. These messages appear to have been sent by a Rector and may ask parishioners to buy a voucher or undertake various actions. the language being used is personable and sometimes even tailored to our church environment.
